Use a view instead of a table as source of data for MsSqlServer2008Provider

Can I set the TableName property to a View, instead of a table name to the MsSqlServer2008Provider?

In my view this is a fairly important feature because this will provide the ability to do joins on multiple tables and therefore making the attribute data flexible.

Views are fine however you probably need to ensure that you have a single column key in the view. Compound keys are not supported. Hth jd

Hi John,

How about Stored Procs? That would bring unlimited possibilities onto the table!

Hi Raghu, unfortunately SPs and db functions are not supported as there is no reliable way of mapping parameters.  cheers jd
