Best way to add a tracking layer

Hi,

I'm on a fishing trip for advise here... if I want to add a tracking layer to a map that contains multiple points represented by different icons and I want them to move around dynamically on the map, what is the best way to achieve this and get good functionality/performance? Is it to treat the icons as a data set and render the map with it or is it to edit the UI.Forms component and manually render them above the map? Or perhaps some other way that I'm not even thinking of :)

Many thanks,

Dave

Hi,

SharpMap is no real time library, so you have to do this part yourself.
I think the easiest way is to use a Geometry data provider which includes
the moving vehicle. You can use multiple layers to track more then one
vehicle.
I the case a vehicle is moving, just update its geometry(e.g. point)

I hope this is a good starting point.
