Map Space dimensions

Hi,

I am using SharpMap v0.9 (production) and I wanted to know if it was possible to render a label/symbol in map space instead of device/screen space.

eg. If I zoom in or out the layer in question will adjust its text and symbols according to its size on the map instead of the screen.

Try,

http://www.codeplex.com/SharpMap/WorkItem/View.aspx?WorkItemId=10034
and
http://www.codeplex.com/SharpMap/WorkItem/View.aspx?WorkItemId=9419

I don't believe that these have been added to the core but they should help you.

Hi Scott,

The modified LabelLayer worked like a charm!

But I can't find anything in http://www.codeplex.com/SharpMap/WorkItem/View.aspx?WorkItemId=9419 that talks about map space symbols.

Hi Jackie,

Yes you are correct about symbols. I thought the extra point style functionality may have helped you out, but in hindsight probably not. Perhaps you could re-set the relevant symbol style size before each map render. Not the cleanest solution, but it may work?
