Hi All, I have worked on displaying shapefiles on Windows Mobile using Sharpmap dlls but if I want to display vector files on Android display, how should I proceed? I searched on internet but what I got was gvSIG information but could not find out how to use it in an android application. If anyone can throw some light on this issue, it would be very helpful. Hello siddhesh123, you may get sharpmap to work with MonoDroid (http://www.go-mono.com/monodroid/) It will be a lot of work though. cheers FObermaier

Thanks Fobermaier, I have Droid Incredible. May I know if sharpmap will work on it as well? Do you have any sample application? Thanks Siddhesh

There is also more information about a similar mono on android project at http://www.koushikdutta.com/ http://github.com/koush/androidmono but it will not be easy to run sharpmap on mono on android at this point. There are no sample sharpmap on mono / android applications in existance to my knowledge. In fact I suspect that there are few mono on android applications right now. Android is a great platform and I am personally quite excited by the possibility of mono on android... jd
