AjaxMapControl with MasterPages Problem!

Topics: General Topics

It seems AjaxMapControl doesn't work correctly with MasterPages. Did anyone try this before?

A found that, the MasterPage puts prefixes to the tag ID-s. Something like this: ctl00ContentPlaceHolder1tagname

That's why I hardcoded the AjaxMap variable name into the AjaxMap.js.

But I still have a problem with the SharpMap_BeginRefreshMap method.

It seems the WebFormDoCallback function doesn't work with MasterPages. (this function is in the AjaxMap.js, inside the SharpMapBeginRefreshMap function).

I hope there is a solution for this, and I'm sure that there are other developers who had or has the same problem.

Oliver - Any luck on this problem? I plan on using SharpMap within my Master pages.

As far as I remember this issue was resolved long ago. What version are you using?

I have the Ajax Map Control running fine with Masterpages. Have a look in your code that you do not have any if(!Page.IsCallBack) functions or restrictions in your Page_Load method, that may be the problem...
