I download a jpg file from GoogleEarth. next, i created a GdalRasterLayer to display this jpg image.

How can i set a Lat/Long coordinates for this image (upper left & down right) ?.

I would like to have a conversion between the raster map to a Lat/Long coordinates.

Thanks Ahead.

Hello snoriani,

I'd use fwtools / gdal_translate function with the parameters -a_srs and -a_ullr.

is gdal_translate an execute or a libarary?.
How GdalRasterLayer is using the outputs of gdal
_translate?. it is to say what method of GdalRasterLayer should get that outcome. i will be happy to get a short C# example that describes how to take a raster image and use it as a
Geo Tiff with GdalRasterLayer.

gdal_translate is an executable that comes with fwtools or osgeo4w (google).
