Transform mouseclick

Nov 22, 2006 at 11:22 AM

how can i get the world-point of a mouseclick when i have a 'rotated' map?

In the source 'Utilities.Transform.MapToWorld' tells me:

"NOTE: This method DOES NOT take the MapTransform property into account (use SharpMap.Map.MapToWorld instead)"

However, 'SharpMap.Map.MapToWorld' does not exist. Only 'SharpMap.Map.ImageToWorld' is found there, but that uses 'Utilities.Transform.MapToWorld'

So it seems it is commented out in SharpMap.Utilities.Transform,...why? Is it buggy,...?

The forward/backwork calculations with matrix calculations was removed, since there are several case where the calculations are irreversible. That basically means you can have matrixes that can only apply the transformation one way, but not back again.

That's a pitty :(

Now my world-point is untranformed,...but will give it another go.

Anyone has something implemented regarding a rotated map?
My goal is to add a point like in Google Earth.

Got it working ok now.

The 'transformation' part is commented out in the source. What caused that action?
