Strong Named Assemblies

I found a couple of discussions on signing the SharpMap assemblies on this site, but they all seemed to suggest that developers should download the source and modify the project files to include a strong named key file themselves. There's one discussion that explicitly asked if doing so would be considered a modification and redistributing the modified DLLs without the source code would be a violation of the license; it's unanswered.

However, I tend to think that as a developer using another library, I shouldn't be diving into that library's source. Is there any possibility that some assemblies with signed with a strong name key could be provided?

While I don't think that signing the SharpMap assembly violates the LGPL, this is worth an Issue.
