Hi,

If you don't mix different coordinate systems you don't need to take care about it.

Christian,

I'm not sure I understand. Why does a coordinate system matter?
What I would like to do is display a map of the U.S. using the Alber Projection (basically, I want to recreate the north american map at: http://www.codeplex.com/SharpMap/Wiki/View.aspx?title=Which%20projections%20are%20supported&referringTitle=FAQ ).

Right now, I can only create maps using the Mercator projection.

Thanks,

Hi Scott,

Have you tested your data already?
I mean, have you tested to show your data with SharpMap

Christian,

I think I need the on-the-fly transformation. But I'm not sure. I'm able to load a .shp and display it. The problem is I'm not sure how to make the map look like the example that is in the FAQ (albers projection).

Thanks for your help.
