I've been looking across the wiki here at sharpmap.codeplex.com and have noticed that most of the information is woefully out of date.

Is this site even being updated anymore?  The only area that seem to be remotely current is the discussion list.  Even the current source code is in the Google repository.

If not, is there a site that is being updated?

For example the latest listing from a developer meeting was December 2007 (three years ago).

Are the developer's still meeting?

Just thought I would ask.

You are right, the wiki pages are not maintained properly. That does not imply that the information provided is false. We (the developers) have a real life besides sharpmap. Maybe there are people to volunteer?

Even the current source code is in the Google repository.

The code for sharpmap v0.9 is here at codplex, and it is not even old ;-). The code at googlecode belongs to sharpmap v2 which is currently under development.
Maybe we could add a wiki page about what is possible with it and what is not.

Not that I know of. There are some bloggers that provide useful information about their experiences with sharpmap.

For example the latest listing from a developer meeting was December 2007 (three years ago).

The developers are still meeting, usually on Wednesdays at ~9 PM CET. But you might find some of us in the channel at other times, too, but there is not always talk. Try making yourself heard by addressing people directly. If that does not help and you cannot attend at that time, your way for support is the forum.

Felix,

We all have lives offline (me too) it's just some of the things look a little suspect, so I thought I would ask.  If there's anything I can do to help with the state of things, consider me volunteered.

I've had issues trying to compile the v0.9 code here in the CodePlex repository.  I've been directed to the google repository, and that code compiled.

Are there any minutes being recorded of those developer meetings?  It looks like people are being asked to vote on things that are so old they may not be relevant anymore.  Like I've mentioned before 21:00 CET is the middle of the day here in  EST, and that life outside of SharpMap is rearing it's ugly head again.... ;>.

This project feels like it has a lot of potential, but you would never realize it poking around here...

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Rick - before I jumped into the SharpMap waters, I was wondering if it was still being supported.

The good news is - very much so.  There are definitely developers on it, and when questions are asked in this discussion list, they usually get answered very accurately and rapidly.
