Strange behavior

I am developing some working examples with the latest SharpMap changeset - I am trying to project some vector layers over a raster layer.

For this purpose, I have downloaded an .ecw file from ( and I have used the shape files from the original SharpMap examples.

I used the GdalRasterLayer object in order to load the raster layer, and the Ogr object in order to load the vector layers. The strange behavior is that the layers do not position correctly – it seems like that they are using different coordinate systems. Although, when the zoom value of the map is equal or less than 90 the do position correctly!

A question here: The object for the raster layers is called GdalRasterLayer and the object for the vector layers Ogr. Why is the name Ogr used and not OgrVectorLayer?

I implemented the same scenario using the EcwRasterLayer object that works with the ECW JPEG 2000 SDK, and the behavior is not replicated.

Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions about this behavior?
