WMS Layer and PRojection

I didn't understand how to use a WMS Layer with projected layers...

It is not possible to reproject the WMS Layer on the fly?   it means to reproject every single point of the received bitmap really?

SharpMap does not support raster projection. Although it would be a nice feature it will be slow and not very pretty. With WMS you generally would like the WMS to do the projection for you. So you request an image from the WMS in your current projection. Which WMS are you using? Ciao, Paul.

I don't really understand. WMS servers with basic maps are all around. For example see: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/WMS.
According to me you ask for data instead of source code. For open source geographic data is available through Open Street Maps (http://www.openstreetmap.org/)

Zarmac, we need a S.L.A. this is the reason so we have to provide the base map by ourself we cannot rely on an external system.

That's the reason..
