What is the bounding box of a point?

What does SharpMap.Geometries.Point's GetBoundingBox method mean? What is its return value exactly? I understand what a bounding box is in case of a polygon or line...but in case of a point? It is a little bit strange for me. Can anyone explain it to me?

Thanks in advance!

Hello tmatrai,

A BoundingBox of a point is a rectangle with zero width and height at the location of the point, LeftTop and RightBottom are the same.

This function is there, since it is demanded by abstract Geometry class. The BoundingBox class is used for all kinds of simplified SpatialRelation operation.
