GDALRasterLayer - Other users?

Hey,

I'm trying to use the GDALRasterLayer for an application that needs to be completed in the next month. I need to be able to display an image (in projected coordinates) underneath my vector layers (being provided from a MSSQL database).

I just want to know whether anyone else has successfully done this, because I am getting exceptions from the GDAL libraries when SharpMap tries to render images with projected coordinates. When rendering images in lat/long, things work fine. I'm hoping it is something simple I can change to make it all work, but am not sure whether it is a problem in the source or in my method.

Any comments/advice will be most appreciated.

Steve,
I wrote some code to correctly display the raster in the map window with other layers. It is change set 16939, but is commented out at the bottom of GDALRasterLayer.

Hi Steve,

I think, you shouldn't use the GDALRasterLayer for any time
critical project, because it is very new and may has some bugs.
Furthermore provide us some more detailed informations about the
exception that is throw.
