Hello everyone, I would like to know what is the best way to pass a huge number of coordinates(320.000) to sharpmap.
Currently, i have them stored in SQL server, but i have to read them and create the map all the time and it takes too much.
I had the idea to create a shapefile from them, but it was possible only with sharpmap 2.0.
ps:These coordinates belongs to 75 polygons, but they can be altered by the user, so its not only create the shapefiles i need to edit them as well.
Sorry if my english isn't perfect, i'm still learning, thanks!

Is it really necessary to store and pass the coordinates individually ?

you may find it easier to store / retrieve / edit the polygons as is

the amount of data does not sound huge. I you'll get the best performance there is by keeping your 75 polygons in Memory (FeatureDataSet) and render them from RAM.

var vl = new VectorLayer()
vl.DataSource = new GeometryProvider(polygons.ToArray())

Yeah it was, the map took more than 5 minutes to be rendered, but i was able do solve this by saving the data in a kml file and opening it with QGIS in order to save it as shapefile, thanks !
